When the Soul Feels Heavy

Scripture: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18

Devotional Thought: There are days when the weight of the world feels like too much. Even the most faithful hearts can grow tired, and the brightest souls can feel dim. But Scripture reminds us that we are never truly alone in these valleys.

Jesus knows sorrow. He wept. He grieved. He sweat blood in the garden, overwhelmed. You are not broken because you feel sadness—you are human, and God meets you right there.

Today, give yourself permission to pause. To breathe. To not have all the answers. And in that pause, invite Jesus in—not to fix everything instantly, but to sit beside you, comfort you, and whisper truth into your soul:

"I am here. I have not left you. You are still my beloved."

As you move through today, let that be your anchor.

Prayer: Jesus, when my spirit feels heavy, be my strength. When I can’t feel joy, be my comfort. Help me to rest in your love, even when my emotions feel like a storm. Thank you for never leaving my side. Amen.

Takeaway: God doesn’t wait for you to feel okay to love you. He meets you right where you are—with grace, peace, and unfailing love.
